KOTA KINABALU: The SM La Salle computer lab received a boost with the addition of 15 new computers and the upgrade of existing softwares totalling RM48,000 to improve ICT learning.

The school also received a further RM30,000 to improve its Junior Campus’s Resource Centre, provision of teaching aids and facilities to support the students’ development programmes, among others.

SM La Salle Parent-Teacher Association chairperson, Datin Lucy Irene Yong in handing over the contributions to the school’s excellent principal, Mary M. Komuji yesterday, said the PTA wished to see students benefit most from these.

“The PTA is pleased to work with the school to bring learning facilities up to speed and in line with the Education Ministry’s aim to integrate 21st century skills in learning,” Lucy added.

PTA deputy chairperson, Norkiah Shalatif, senior assistant principal, Rahnah Fong, ICT teachers Lim Hoi Yuen and Suhaili Ahmad and students were present.

The contributions were made possible through several fundraisers including a bazaar and education carnival and the recent LaSallians Take The Lead Cross Country organised by the PTA and supported by the school, School Board, Alumni, the public as well as financial contributions from generous individuals and corporate donors.
