Covid-19: 1,041 new cases

PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry recorded 1,041 new Covid-19 cases today.

Two of the cases are imported while the rest are local transmissions.

Its director- general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that the R naught value as of today is between 0.9 and 1.1.

Selangor, he said, recorded the highest number of new cases at 402 followed by Sabah at 346 and Negri Sembilan at 121.
“There are 108 patients at Intensive Care Units (ICU) with 45 of them needing respiratory support,” he said, adding that another 1,405 Covid-19 patients have been discharged from hospitals.

On fatalities, Dr Noor Hisham said three deaths were reported today and all of them were patients in Sabah.
